5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. ~Deuteronomy 6:5-6 NIV
God wants us to love Him the way He loves us- unlimitedly and abundantly. God’s love for His people knows no boundaries, so as His people, Christians should never limit their love and commitment to God. Therefore, Christians should not limit how we show our love to God to just Sunday mornings. We need to show our gratitude by praising and worshipping Him with our lives, dedicating every aspect of our lives to Him by making ourselves holy. We can love God through walking in His ways, obeying His laws, serving Him with all our lives.
Are you keeping any area of your life away from God? Do you only pray to God during Sunday services or when times are tough? Or are you talking to your Heavenly Father each and every day no matter how your life is going? Are you picking up your cross daily with Jesus, or is your life plain and boring? Because God created our lives, we should therefore repay Him by dedicate your lives to Him, letting Him have control and influence in our lives from the time we awaken to the time we rest.
There’s a movement that has been sweeping the internet nation, especially among the youth, and I have claimed it as the title of this devotional. It’s called #(That’s a “hashtag, used like a tag or keyword used in searching) AllForHim. This is a statement to express ultimate devotion to God, loving Him with all our hearts, souls, and strengths.
Are you #AllForHim? Are you following all of His ways? (Psalm 119:11, Colossians 3:16) Search His word daily for how you can love God with all that you have (Psalm 119:97-100).
And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, ~Deuteronomy 10:12
